Excerpt: I haven't taken this battery grip off my 70D since I put it on. I absolutely love it and have gotten used to the feel of it so much that the camera body alone feels very small and harder to get a grasp on anymore. Simple to install, doesn't add much extra weight, and you get longer battery life and more power. I haven't tried the extra magazine for use with AA batteries yet so i can't really comment on that. It does come with a nice bag to store it in though.
Excerpt: This battery grip is top quality and installs with great ease. It has been a huge asset to my longer sessions such as football games, weddings etc. I love the fact that it not only has backup for 2 LP batteries but my rechargeables as well should I exhaust the first two.
Excerpt: As long as I have owned an SLR/DSLR, I have always bought the factory grip made for it.The vertical release is handy for portrait oriented shots. I like having to spread my right fingers over the right camera body onto the grip. It helps me to steady the camera more for hand held shots.
Excerpt: The Canon Battery grip is a great addition to my 70D. It allows the camera to be better balanced in my hands with the weight of a longer lens or flash unit and the additional functionality of the increased battery capacity and controls for portrait orientated shots is great. Another surprise is that it will run the camera on just one of the E6 batteries even though it holds two. Converting to AA batteries gives me more power options for extended remote shooting.
Excerpt: I tried to get away with a cheaper 3rd party grip but had some issues with it. I finally broke down and paid the extra money for the Canon grip and I couldn`t be happier. Everything about it is just better. The improvement in quality (over the 3rd party grip) is apparent in every way.
