Summary: I just returned from Hawaii and wish I had this before I left. I used an old one of my dads and it was an old telescoping tripod which I tried to WD40 to lubricate before I left. It served its purpose but this tripod would have been so much easier to use. I use it with my Canon SX30is. I wouldn't recommend it for a heavier camera, but for mine and others that weigh less than 2 lbs its great.
Summary: I purchased this tripod for a trip. It worked out really well. Many people complained about the height being so low. However, that is the trade off if you are traveling and need to keep the weight down. It is very sturdy and works well with my camera.
Summary: For this price, nothing can beat this tripod. I was looking for a portable tripod for my trip to Euro. Weight & size is a consideration to me. It wasn't as high as those 60inch one, but it's more than a meter high after expanded and I am fine with that. Good 1. Compact 2. Low price 3. Lightweight 4. Brand Name (Sony) 5. Steady enough to hold my DSLR + Lens + Flash Bad 1. Probably need to get a taller one for more professional shot out.
Summary: Used it two times. The cranck handle snapped off. as well as there is no Handel or case. I have a Polaroid Tri-Pod it was cheaper and has a built on handel and came with a case with a strap long enough so you can carrie it over your shoulder.
Summary: I got this for shooting occasional video and taking still shots for digital pics to upload to ebay or friends. It does everything I need it to do and then some. Very lightweight yet well constructed, it is very user friendly and I figured out how to set up and adjust it very quickly and easily. It even has a bubble level for the truly discerning. I would say it is a great investment for taking family pics and videos for any occasions you need a stable shot.
Summary: Got the tripod for my husband for Christmas. He was pleasantly surprised. He is happy with it. It seems to do just what we will need it to do which is just to hold our Sony camera for still pictures.
Summary: I bought the tripod for my boyfriend for Christmas online for $29. He has a Nikon D5100 with extra battery which makes the camera heavier. The tripod is not shaky and seems pretty steady. It extends up pretty high so that my bf doesn't have to bend (he's 5'11"). However, the two greatest features are the level on the legs (to make sure tripod is even on ground) and the quick release feature for removing the camera from the tripod.
Summary: Excellent product. I love it. It has the exact height I wanted. If you buy it from Sony site it is $20 more. Thats what I love about Wallmart that they have all the same products but at a lower price.
Summary: I think this is a perfect fit for most uses of camera or camcorder. It has a universal mount to fit most cameras and camcorders with a nice quick release feature. Its a reliable name brand with quality construction and light. Almost went with the cheap $8 to $10 tripods but after reading reviews of those products it made sense to spend a few more dollars and get a good brand that will last a few years. I got my unit for about $29 plus tax.
