Excerpt: I use the LCD Touch BacPac to see what I am taking a picture of when I am shooting photos or to make sure when I am videoing that I am actually getting what I am intending to video instead of guessing. I like that I can use it for that. Its a bit expensive and in reality I wish it was included with the GoPro.
Pros: Auto Photo Mode, HD Video Quality, Image Stability
Excerpt: It definitely ads functionality to the GoPro! I like how easy it is to hook up to the camera and all of the different back door options that come with it. It has a fairly poor resolution, but for what it is for it works fine. The interface is clunky with room for improvement. Overall I would say it is a must have GoPro item and priced as such, could be cheaper. The unit is well built and has many nice features and accessories included.
Excerpt: It was useful to have the LCD screen especially when taking pictures. It didn't help with my video was mostly you're pointing that direction with the wide-angle lens. Putting LCD screen on the back makes it almost twice as big and can be new shoe on certain attachments. This issue is not allowing to bend as much as you might want to. LCD screen does shut off after 30 seconds or a minute or so to conserve better.
Summary: Very easy to install and remove when needed. Complements the gopro mobile app nicely. Comes with a assortment of rear doors. Touch screen can be hard to use through the rear door with the membrane that covers the touch screen.
Excerpt: It uses a lot of battery as expected so we use it sparingly. It's not needed when shooting normal panoramas but the LCD screen is nice to have when you're taking close-up still shots or close-up videos. It's also nice to have for play-back during down time.
