See lessThe supped up TI-83! When I started my classes at San Francisco State University almost a year and a half ago, I had to take lots of math classes as my major was Computer Science. I wanted to get a calculator that would make calculation in my Calculus classes a bit easier. I got a lot of recommendations for the TI-89 but I already had the regular TI-83 and I liked the way it worked. So I went to Target and bought this TI-83 Plus Silver Edition calculator for about $130... Read more
We bought this model of calculator, because it's the same model that is used in my daughter's Algebra II class. She also plans to use it to take the ACT. Read more or see product
I use it a lot when I went to 1st year algebra. I find it very useful in many cases. It helped me a lot in homework and tests. Therefore, I did well and got recommended for accelerated geometry. Though it doesn't have much memory for games and other stuff that can be downloaded, but it is still useful for solving and graphing equations. Read more
This was a replacement TI-83 Plus, my first one got stolen, so even tho it says I've owned it for 30 Days I've actually had one for about 1.5 years now. :) Read more
I purchased the TI-83 for my Calculus class, and it has really helped me in calc. The 83 is programmable, so you can store your formulas and basically have it as a plug and play device with whatever problem you have. Just plug it in, and it solves it automatically. Also great for trigonometry as well. A great graphing calculator. Read more
" First of all, when you're done with this calculator do your self a favor and recycle it for cash on www.cash4calcs.com. I used for calc and statistics, but had to upgrade to a TI-89 for physics and chem. This calculator is sweet - it's like a game boy once you download all the games from your friends. I've personally spent at least 50 hours programming simple games on it as well - I would recommend the TI-83 to anyone who has an interest in computer programming as it... Read more
