Just what we needed.

EganFamily, Staples
18 December 2014
  • Excerpt: This is the calculator that my middle school son's teacher recommended and is also the one she provides for students in class. Having one at home will make homework so much easier! It has the functionality he needs, and operates just the way he expects.

A very high-quality calculator.

  • Excerpt: I purchased this calculator simply because I wanted to try out all the new functions and whatnot. While I didn't really expect much out of it initially, I must say that this particular calculator has exceeded my expectations. Helps me tremendously!

Jamie, Staples
6 November 2014
  • Excerpt: It took me a little bit to get use to using such a high tech calculator, as I am going back to school and doing college algebra and not use to all the things calculators can do now, but once I figured out how to use it, it has been such a great help to me with my algebra and it is great because it has all the formulas you need built right in and you just have to put in your variables it need to calculate! I would recommend to anyone taking advanced math class.

Perfect for NCEES exam and much better than Casio FX-115.

  • Summary: Having seen good reviews for both, I purchased this calculator along with the Casio FX-115 for use on an NCEES exam. After using both, the TI was the clear winner. The TI has a familiar interface and key layout if you have used the graphing models. The keypad is well laid out and user friendly, and display is nice in both mathprint and classic modes.

too powerful and complicated

chocolate winemaker, Staples

  • Excerpt: Bought this to replace my TI-36X solar which died. Needed a calculator that had US - metric conversions built in. What used to take 2 steps now takes a half dozen to dozen just to do the conversions. In all fairness to Texas Instruments, it does have a lot more types of conversions built it and other capabilities that I don't need.

  • Excerpt: This is the third calculator of this type my children needed for school. The most impressive thing about the product is that the batteries last for ever. Each of my children used this type of calculator and I never had to replace the batteries.
