Summary: If you can appreciate getting excited about a calculator, this is why, the Sharp product out performs my now retired Radio Shack 12 Digit product by leaps and bounds, its incredible that I went so long without replacing it with my current Sharp 2130. My only negative is the price, a tad expensive for a calculator to be honest.
Summary: As a senior at a Big 4 firm, one things is certain - I can foot with the best. With nearly 10,000 hours charged in my 3+ years, I've ruthlessly hammered on my Sharp QS-2130, or as I like to call her, Maxine. Rest assured that if you are a follower of the market you have seen a press release come across that Max and I have reviewed. I guard her with my life and even carry her in the original faux-leather sleeve for protection.
Summary: I first purchased a Sharp, solar-powered calculator more than 30 years ago; it recently quit on me--I can't imagine why. This is a nice replacement; the arrangement of the function buttons is even better than on my old model. I know I can count on endless hours of use. My first one was solar powered only (of course any light powered it), and I never missed having an alternate power source. Although you can use batteries in this one, I know I never will.
Summary: does that funky thing where you must put the "+", "-". "*". etc before the number - like on those adding machines with the rolls of paper. This is NOT the calculator for most people, but for accountants......
Summary: THis is to replace an old Sharp QS-2130 calculator that I had for years. After about 12 years, the keys started sticking (although I still use the old one at home)! Love the placement of the keys on this calculator. Tried other but just didn't like as well and could never get used to the keys being in different location. Would definitely recommend this calculator!
