Summary: I had one of these for years and loved it. But it finally crapped out after using it everyday almost all day. So I had to get another one just like it since no other calculator have the same buttons as this one has. The best features are the back button (or erase) and the double 00.
Summary: I replaced a Sharp EL 334A that had performed perfectly with daily use at least 8 or more years. The one pictured is like my old calculator, however what arrived was the one with the green buttons. It is OK, but the old one had rubber around all corners which made it easy to grip, and the top tilted as shown in the picture with the orange buttons. The new one does NOT tilt and only has 4 tiny rubber dots on bottom to keep it from sliding on a desk.
Summary: Before the age of checkbook register smartphone apps, I dutifully turned to this calculator to balance my checkbook. I'd tried other calculators, but they were either too small, the keys were too close together, the display too small, or something else made them less than ideal. With this one, it stays in place on my desk, it has a large display, the buttons are laid out intuitively, it goes well with my modern decor, and it has both battery and solar power.
Summary: Sharp EL-334TB Semi-Desktop Basic Calculator works great! It does everything I purchased it for and I still haven't used to it's fullest. This calculator is 6.5" x 4" and has a little kick stand to sit up while in use. Great on price and Great Product.
Summary: Thanks for asking me to review this purchase. I ordered a Sharp EL-334TB calculator. What I received was a Sharp EL-377TB calculator. The 334 is a much larger unit and it has the 00 key. Since the cost was only $5-$6 I was not going to bother with a review or my time to send it back. I have since ordered another calculator from another company. I'm sure the 377 works just fine, but it is not what I wanted or ordered.
Summary: I like to use the same calculator all the time. That way I know where the functions are without having to look. I have 4 of these. One on my desk at work, one in my truck for field work, one in my home office, and one in my computer room. I literately use one of these hours each day (6-7 days a week). I guess I am sold on this model. When one wears out, (or gets broken) I always replace it with this same model.
Summary: It works great. I have another that is nearly identical and we like to have a few calculators scattered around the house, so when one of our old ones broke we bought this one. As I said, it works just fine.
Summary: I was not wanting an adding machine, just a medium size, decent key size, spacing and response. This does all this very well. I also purchased an inexpensive Kindle case for it. Now it is portable as well. I have had other Sharp calculators and have liked them all.
