Scientific Calculator

Craig N. Robinson "CraigR", Amazon
20 April 2014
  • Summary: Well this is a good calculator but I bought it to replace my Sharp EL-512. It does the same statistical calculations but it only has one memory. I was deeply disappointed as the 512 had at least 9. There are other calculators in this class that at least have three memories. The more memories the better.

For the programmers out there

Edward Williams, Amazon
1 March 2014
  • Summary: It is getting hard to find calculators that do hexadecimal. 30 years ago, almost all calculators had hex and binary as well as decimal math. Now only a few do and this is the best one I have found, it replaces a Sharp calculator I bought about 25 years ago that still works, but sometimes refuses to turn off. That means it cost me about 50 cents a year to use. Good value in a day of so many disposable things that fall apart after six months.

  • Summary: Easy to use, makes life much more easy in class. Delivery was quicker then anticipated, and it's small enough to fit just about anywhere.

HORRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY!! DO NOT BUY!!!

Samantha, Amazon
2 February 2014
  • Summary: I bought this scientific calculator because I needed to be able to do simple log and ln equations (and wasn't allowed to use a graphing calculator) and this is by far the worst, most frustrating piece of "technology" I have ever had. It couldn't do basic exponents!!! Let alone the log and ln. Do not waste your money, trust me. Spend the extra $5 and get a better one.

Buy a TI-30X instead

Arithmomaniac, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: While it may be tempting to save the $10 over a TI-30X calculator, the old-school display makes it very hard to keep track of long or multiple-step expressions.

Not bad for the price

Nick, Amazon

  • Summary: Calculator itself is good and I've had no problems with it. The case that is comes with is, however, almost impossible to get open quietly.

It was just a waste of cash.

Bethel Omeike, Amazon
7 November 2013
  • Summary: It does not display previous entered numbers while doing a calculation. Hence it is difficult to detect where one made mistakes. I will never buy calculators online again.

  • Summary: Excellant value, but an earlier model had 5 independant memory locations where this model has but one. Otherwise, a great scientific tool.
