Summary: This little calculator was purchased at the first part of 2012 and is still going strong. I usually keep a solar calculator by my chair which I've had at least 20 years and although it looks beat up, is in fact still going strong.
Summary: The Sharp EL233SB Standard Function Calculator is exactly what I needed - a basic calculator that has comfortably-sized keys, very easy to read display, and because of its compact size, always handy on my desk. I am very pleased with it.
Summary: I wanted something very small and lightweight that I could carry in a small purse. This is perfect. Works great. I have no problem reading the display even with "senior eyes". The automatic-off function is handy since the calculator is battery-operated. There are also on/off buttons for normal use.
Summary: This calculator is very cheap, I purchased it thinking Sharp would have a quality product but I was wrong. The calculator I picked up from Dollar Tree is more sturdy. This one feels like it's going to break soon. Also it's very small. Save your money and buy from dollar store.
Summary: I use these exclusively in my classroom. I'm clumsy (so are my 8th graders) and the calculators stand up to being dropped from my classroom tables. The display is one of the best I've seen, without losing any of it's quality over time like many inexpensive calculators do.
Summary: Finally a calculator that works on good old energy froma battery---instead of solar powere that runs out when yhou need it. It's 3x as fast as my solar powered one. I got tired of not having a reliable calculator. For the price, this one is great
