Awesome Calculator

  • Summary: These are great calculators. You wont see these in the colleges for some reason, which is unfortunate because they will run circles around the Ti instruments. All professional engineers I know use one of these. They have a learning curve but well worth it. Once you learn RP N, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

Better than the 49 & 48

  • Summary: This replaces a 49G that just died one day. The case is more solid than the 49 and the key response is better than the 49 and similar to the 48. Also adds some bells and whistles.

  • Summary: I bought this calculator for my Electronics Engineering degree, I like it because it is a professional engineering calculator, well built and at a very good value for the price. It is my understanding and based on my research that the HP50G is both a calculator for students and professionals in the engineering field.

  • Summary: The HP 50g is an exceptional graphing calculator that is capable of all mathematical functions required from high school through professional work. Using this calculator to perform engineering design work is very easy. RPN is very easy to learn and helps me to think about what I am calculating.

Installation Disk Problems

GerryPete, Hewlett-Packard
6 December 2013
  • Summary: The connection from the usb port to my hp dv7 laptop running Windows 8.1 fails from the installation disk provided. I now have to spend time 1) trying to figure out how to get tech support for an hp calculator, and 2) how to get past the installation failure. I am recommending the product in the event that I am the only one having this problem.

  • Summary: I've used HP calculators since the early 70's. I learned how to use an HP 45. This one is for one of my sons who is taking a calculus course. It more than meets the needs of the class and should serve him well for years to come. As has been said by many, TI calculators are great for students, HP's are for engineers.
