I love it.

AccountingWhiz, Staples
3 January 2013
  • Excerpt: I love my 12C calculator. It works great and Ilove the design of it. The only thing that I wish could change isthat when you are solving for "N" the number of payments or periodsthat it didn't automatically round the answer to the nearestwhole number.
  • Pros: Adequate Capabilities, Attractive Design, Clear Display, Compact Size, Easy To Use, Long Battery Life, Quality Construction

Good financial calc

Timothy R., Newegg
6 October 2012
  • Pros: It's a great calculator that's pretty easy to use. Has all the financial functions needed for my uses - MBA school.
  • Cons: The only thing I don't like about this is the stack. I wish it could hold more than 2 numbers on the stack ala a scientific RPN calculator and that you could do things like swap numbers. I find myself having to store values to banks to bring them back later for evaluations. I knew this going in t...

I finally broke down bought it!

DD, Staples
17 May 2012
  • Excerpt: Been using HP-12C since 1983. I bought this because I was afraid the old one might die, but it is still going strong. The new model is much faster on discounting cash flows. But most important it can be used in RPN or Algebratic.Even though I can use EXCEL this is still easier!HP does it again.
  • Pros: Compact Size, Easy To Use, Quality Construction

Brings a smile to my face

Richard I., Newegg
15 September 2010
  • Summary: The HP 12C has to set some sort of record for profitability. R&D amortized 30 years ago, cost of manufacture probably around a buck, no marketing expenses... and they are selling them to this very day for $70! Just amazing. Not being critical, mind you. I have one.
  • Pros: It's a 12c
  • Cons: It's not $5

Correction to review below

Anonymous, Newegg
19 January 2008
  • Summary: My prev review stated there is no leather pouch like original - actually, there is a pouch. It is a leather fold-over with elastic sides. It protects the 12C, but is thicker, making it less convenient to carry around or in brief case. And the elasticized sides will invariably wear out earlier.
