Excerpt: Does everything what it should. Nice feature is the power saver, that the display darkens when the calculator is not not used. When you hit CE/C - the red button, screan comes up without shifting the power button. The buttons are the first ones to brake, so this feature eliminates this problem and extends the life of the calculator. This calculator also allows to print date on the tape.
Excerpt: Canon makes my favorite calculators. This one is heavy duty but I killed it by taking it out of office for off site work. Even with the travel it lasted over 4 years. Only downside is it's rather large if need one that's portable and the ink ribbons are messy to replace.
Summary: I have used the Canon calculators inthe past and liked them. There is a new feature on this model that is a power save mode. It makes me nuts. Everytime I go to enter a number it seems I have to first hit CE/C so that the power safe mode allows the input. YOu reach over and start entering numbers and it sounds like it is processing fine. You glance over to see your work and realize that the number you just entered never registered because of the darn power save mode.
Summary: My old MP27D that I'd had for over 5 years conked out and I looked around at some one replacements. They had too much or too little. Based one the reliability and easy of use I searched Amazon to find the last one of a discontinued model and was luck to find one and at half the price of the newer ones.
Summary: I am having a hard time getting used to the auto power off. I have used Canon before and chose partly for that reason, didn't want to re-learn function. Well I have had to learn to hit the CE/E key every time I start entering numbers in order to turn on the power. Also the color is ugly putty grey not like the picture and other canon models which are silvery. Looks like it belongs at the DMV five years ago.
Summary: I used to have an Electric Pressure Cooker and I liked it, but this on the stove pressure is much better. I only wish that it came in an oval, so I could fit large Roast in it, but other than that it is great.
Summary: We use this calculator in work at all our accounting desks. Easy to use. Keys are arranged for easy use. Some other calculators have keys arranged in an unusual way but this one is great. It replaced our old Texas Instrument TI-5660 model and works exactly the same way.
Summary: This is exactly what I wanted in a calculator for my new job. I switched companies from one accounting job to another that was in new construction. Because it was a new position for the company, I did not have an adding machine and needed to buy one. I ordered one online through Office Depot but there was such delay from when I pressed the keys to when it printed, that it would throw me off.
