Perfect for my wallet

Nolan, Amazon
15 June 2014
  • Summary: I carry this with me wherever I go. It is helpful and fits well in what I use as a wallet, a type of small purse carrying all my discount cards and ID. It's easy to use and it calculates tax much easier than the basic calculators I usually use.

Does a great job for what it is.

Raph Pendragon, Amazon
15 June 2014
  • Summary: I'm not a professional financial expert, but wanted a calculator for figuring out investment savings as well as loan payments for things that I may buy or sell. This Canon calculator fits the bill to a T. It has a large display and is easy to use as it just about walks you through each calculation. It's nice not having to dig out the instruction manual each time you want to do a financial calculation.

  • Summary: I should have returned this, it is so confusing to use, I ended up ordering a Texas-Instrument BA II Plus instead. Much much better.

Bad manufacturing

S. Casavant, Amazon
12 November 2013
  • Summary: Not bad if you can get it to work, but the one I got only works if you hold the battery cover to make the connection. I even tried a new battery, but the same thing happened.

It is just what I was looking for (once you know how)

James H., Amazon
25 May 2013
  • Summary: I was looking for a calculator to do Loan payment calculations (for buying a car or furniture etc.) and it had to be simple and easy to use - I had an ativa Financial it worked for me, but the display failed. Tried Victor V12 and its a mess. This one is compact and yet has big numbers (so I can read without my glasses) But initially looked complicate too.

Good Deal

R. W. Bishop, Amazon
9 January 2013
  • Summary: Excellent value in price and quality ... Save for the one thing that I think makes it 4 stars instead of 5, which is the battery compartment placement.

Poor design

jackvusa "jackvusa", Amazon
14 July 2011
  • Summary: I purchased two of them for the price.. and am VERY disappointed. The overall design is okay and it is small and light, two positives. However, the TMV software process is counter intuitive, and requires serious studying before you can call yourself competent. For example just to get a loan payment for $5,000 over 5 years at 6% is so complicated to do I gave up trying.

Basic, effective with modification,

Tom North, Amazon
25 May 2011
  • Summary: It is an attractive size, light weight, and useable with a small repair and user manual download. If it had been expensive I would drop the rating to 2 stars but for under $8.00 not bad. I removed the battery activation tab and entered a number, then a function, and when I started to enter the second number the first one flickered and returned to zero.

way over my head!

grayhug, Ebay
2 November 2010
  • Summary: this calculator looks more like a womans makeup compact. but once opened it is unmistakable a business INSTRUMENT and not a run of the meal adding machine. everything about this calculator is well done. from case to key layout. it does it all! from simple math to any advance math a person would want. all business calculations can be done on this compact machine. it was way over my head in what all it is capable to doing.
