Homemade bread with little effort

mommysaver, Viewpoints

  • Excerpt: Everyone loves the smell of something baking. Although, not everyone likes to bake. This breadmaker is simple and easy and makes breadmaking even easier. Just find a recipe and throw in the ingredients and go. Without much thought or effort you can have fresh made bread at the drop of a hat. Even the price is worth it. There is no need to go out an spend hundreds of dollars. This machine is reasonably priced and works wonderfully.

The convenient way to have homemade bread any time!

  • Excerpt: The West Bend 2 lb breadmaker consistently makes a good loaf of bread, with easy preparation and easy clean up. I've been using mine almost daily for three weeks, and have not been disappointed with the resutls. The timer allows me to prepare recipes the night before and wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread.I used the "dough" and "bake" setting for banana bread recently, and found that when a short mixing time is called for, it's better to mix the batter in a...

Not sturday

Mary A. Taylor, Amazon

  • Summary: I have been very happy with West Bend products in the past but this bread machine was disappointing. I like all the features it has but it is not heavy enough for the kneading cycle. The 2nd time I used the machine it vibrated off my counter and warped the lid. It has continued to work but it vibrates itself all over and usually off the counter if not held during the kneading cycle. So I have to hold it in place for 20 minutes ....

Bread up the wazoo!

  • Summary: My wife and her sister have been taking turns making a loaf of bread with this thing every three days since Christmas. What we don't eat gets taken to work to share with their co-workers. If they succeed at running it down, I think we'll have to buy another one immediately.

West Bend 41200 Breadmaker

Mary Jane Homemaker, Amazon
12 December 2009
  • Summary: I purchased this Bread machine. about a month ago (Oct.2009). It was delivered on time & in good condition. I noticed the stir paddle fit loosely (the paddle on my previous machine fit tightly). After calling West Bend cust. service they assured me that it was to be that way. The problem is that the paddle bakes into the loaf and must be cut out leaving a hole in the bottom of the loaf. Other than that my first loaf did well and I am satisfied with this product.

Excellent Machine

C.S.D, "ClearVision", Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this bread maker a year ago. Since then I have made well over 100 loaves of bread with it. It performs flawlessly. We DO NOT eat store bought bread anymore. I make two loaves a week, typically; sourdough, sourdough rye, sheepherder, rosemary sourdough and plain, and garlic bread (recipes for these are all over the Internet). I usually make 2 lb loaves and set it for med. Mix the ingredients, start machine, take out fantastically tasty bread 3 hours later.
