  • Summary: It looked great when I opened the box, but when I added the ingredients and turned it on--chaos!! The light-up screen shows gibberish that doesn't correspond to anything in the manual, none of the buttons do anything useful, except for the up button. the down button doesn't even work. It makes dough great, but it'll keep on kneading it for hours if you let it. I've tried twice, and each time I get a lovely lump of dough that I have to bake in the oven.

  • Summary: Bought this to replace my well-loved 15 year-old Welbilt. First thing I made was the peanut butter bread from the West Bend pdf of recipes, then egg bread (same source), then pizza dough (from a breadmaking site). I've never had a machine that could bake yummy bread in an hour! I also like being able to use milk from the fridge without having to plan ahead to bring stuff to room temperature. This is getting heavy use in my house and would recommend it.

  • Summary: I bought this breadmaker based on the positive reviews and I find it to be a very good product. I find the basic instructions are too limited, however. The second time I used the machine it did not begin making bread until 30 minutes after programming and the bread fell. The following time it began making bread immediately and the bread was a success--same recipe. The customer response was extremely fast and satisfactory, however. I would give customer service 5 stars.

  • Summary: The rubber washer under the blade raised the blade so much so that the blade would not fit all the way down on the pole, and so sat loosely on the pole. I called Westbend (representative firm) and was told that this was done purposely, the raised rubber washer, so that the blade would not scrape the bottom of the pan. But then, why the loose fit - adjust that too. I made 2 loaves, and it worked. On the third try, the machine refused to start. I returned it for a refund.
