Summary: Picked this item up in a lightning deal. From owning a breadmaker in the U.S., I learned that the trick to get a good loaf of bread is proper yeast and the best kind of yeast for a bread maker is the instant type which I bought from a baking items store in Bangalore (General Food Additives in Seshadripuram). For the flour, I used a combination of maida and atta in a ratio of about 2:1 (I'm slowly increasing the atta content to make it healthier).
Summary: Bought Severin Breadmaker about a year ago. Works really good and we have had some of the most delicious breads. It was definitely a trial and error and after initial failures, I was able to get "Instant Dry Yeast" or "Bread Machine Yeast". Since then we have had the best breads, as good as the ones in leading bakeries. Instant yeast is NOT Active Yeast.

The only problems are that there is a depression in the loaf owing to the presence of the kneading valve, and I always get the same shape in the loaf. But what the hell, the bread tastes lovely, and my golden retriever now refuses to eat store-bought bread!
Summary: The Severin bread maker lived upto our expectations. The overall quality and finish of this product is great. It is easy to use, and the instruction guide also includes some recipes which are quite useful. We have been baking bread - white,brown etc. and also using it for getting dough for bhaturas and pizza. We have used gloripan yeast for the bread recipes and find it very suitable. All in all a very good purchase, and the wife is finding it very useful.
