Summary: I bought this for my daughters birthday, and we opened it up and made our first loaf together on the eco setting, really easy literally one-touch. It worked well, and the recipe book that came with it was a very nice full color one, unlike the usual black and white ones. Simple one touch options, although not with a completely programmable option if you wanted to create your own custom program.
Summary: I am very pleased with the Kenwood Breadmaker which I bought to replace a Panasonic model which was in constant use for 7 years and had been pretty good. The bread is perfect and you can have a lovely soft crust if that is your preference. I have so far tried 3 different programmes as well as the timer.
Summary: The paddle comes off during the bread making process causing the loaf to have an inverted top and very heavy base - inedible. Tried all the tricks and checked ingredients multiple times. But I note from other reviews is that this is a known issue but with no solution. I am returning it and will go for another brand.
Summary: Really good product, sturdy, easy to use (follow the recipe book precisely to start with until you get a feel for the different ingredients and processes) very easy to clean. I've made everything from whole meal buns to cinnamon raisin bread to rhubarb and ginger jam! Remember to put the mixing paddle in he mixing bowl before any ingredients, and never fill the mixing bowl whilst it's in the machine, and 1 lesson learnt don't be tempted to lift the lid to have a little...
Summary: I am returning my recently purchased breadmaker. The paddle always gets stuck in the bread no matter how I try to stop it. The bread has never been correctly shaped. Today's was particular misshapen. I am an experienced home breadmaker and have tried the remedial suggestions in the instructions. There is nothing wrong with the ingredients, the machine does not mix and cook properly. I an going back to Panasonic. I would not recommend buying the Kenwood.
Summary: This was a kind, generous and much anticipated present from my lovely mother-in-law. I've had this bread make for 18 months now. It was bad news from the start. Upon giving the machine it's first clean, the font on the buttons rubbed off, which led to lots of guess work about what size or type of loaf I was making. Then 1 year in it stopped working altogether- no longer able to rotate the inner paddle to make a loaf.
Summary: We bought this bread maker just over a month ago, but every time we have used it the paddle has come off in the bread. We finally got around to contacting Kenwood Customer Services who did not seem at all surprised, in fact agreed that this will happen and there was nothing they could advise to stop this happening. They were quite dismissive. Needless to say we are returning the bread maker today and will look for another brand.
