Summary: This "Boombox" works really well with both my 3rd Generation iPod and my iPod Touch. I like that you can select music on the iPod using the remote control too. The sound quality is very good and I am totally satisfied with the unit.
Summary: There seems to be a major shortage of high quality boomboxes on the market. The fad is all about iPod connectivity and this is a prominent feature of the sony zss4IP. However, i was interested solely in the CD player functionality, so my review will only cover that.
Summary: The sony boombox has held up, and produces a good quality sound. Looks are solid, very black. Ipod fits nicely into dock. Remote signal is strong and worked well. All other controls seemed easy to use. In an office setting like ours the product meets all our needs.
Summary: I have the white version of this - out on the pool deck it doesn't get as hot as a dark colored unit would. I read all the reviews for this boombox, and I was very hesitant - together they averaged out rather negative when I was shopping for it.
Summary: This is my second Sony boombox. I was looking for a docking station for my new 120GB iPod Classic that was portable. The choices were the $399 Bose Sounddock and the $150 Altec-Lansing IM600. The Bose sounded awesome, but was out of my price range.
