Summary: Great sounding boombox. I have the zss31p & this one zss41p. Both are great. The 31p plays iPhone 5 & items with the lighting connector.....this one the 41p plays the iPhone 4 & earlier plus the iPod classics with the wide 30 pin connector.
Packs many nice features but there is "no Boom in this box"

Summary: I like that this device packs many features- It is portable, has Fm radio and plays CD's and Ipod. Has a remote- runs on A/C (with cord) or D/C .(battery compartment -C size batt) It has a compartment that keeps ipod away from dirt and sand when at the beach /out doors.
Summary: Full bass, treble, and amplied sound that rivals car stero HD radio system. Easy to operate. Plug in and go. Pleasently surprised with intuitiveness of operations/ease of use for a non-techie person, as well as the rich, developed sound quality. Not tinny, shrunken, muffled sound.
Summary: This does all the things the ad describes that it will. I especially like the remote control for my preschool application. It allows me to stay seated on the rug with the kids and still activate the boombox (and it's safely out of reach of little hands).
Summary: Sony has a great reputation and I have bought into this literally in the past ever since my first cassette walkman way back when. The problem is that despite a well earned reputation for sound quality in their products, I have never been impressed with their longevity.
Summary: I was excited to buy this last year, thinking it would be a nice portable solution for my radio and iphone needs. I've had it for a year now and am now looking for a different one. Good things: 1) the iphone slides into the front of the unit, protecting it from getting bumped.
Summary: I thought I wasn't picky but...my son has this boom box and it seems to be fine for the house. However, I wanted it for a small gym and volume cranked at 10 is not high enough for anyone to hear! I loved my old SONY but I wanted one with the IPod docking station.
