Love this Boombox. If you're a music lover like I am, you'll be happy buying this MP3 player here.

Summary: I love this MP3 player. It displays the MP3 name of the files after it reads the CD. It plays all traditional CDs and countless MP3 files. The sound is better than I expected. I looked around for a long time before finding this player. I've had it now for about a year and I'm very happy with it. I haven't had any problems.
Summary: I have used this CD player/Boombox on a weekly basis for years in my jail ministry. It fills the jail classrooms with loud, high quality worship music. Someone donated this Sony player to the jail, and I along with other jail chaplains have used this player several times a week, Thinking back. . . it has been for almost 7 years now, that we have been using this. This player has held up very very well.
Summary: The boombox sound works OK, but from the first day the LCD display has been suspect: The right-most large digit has been truncated, and therefore unreadable. Five months after purchase 08/15/2011, the LCD display is fading, and at the end of a day of being turned on, the display COMPLETELY DISAPPEARS. I suspect the LCD is reacting to the heat of the unit. It will likely do the same if the unit is kept in the sun, judging by other reviewers.
Summary: Sony boombox doesn't bring in the local channels, much less the distant ones very well. You have to keep moving the radio around to get any reception. There must be a better radio for outside usage than this.
Summary: Purchased this as a boombox to take floating on the guadalupe river, to take to the dove hunting lease, and to use in the shop at work. It has done all three on the same set of batteries - over 36 hours so far and still going. Most of this was on radio or line in, as I haven't used the CD player yet. The sound is also great, even without the mega bass feature enabled.
Summary: The most annoying power cord ever. An AC cord with a heavy transformer in the middle and a fragile wire to provide power. Stupid design. Standard bass sound even when 'mega bass' button is pushed. You could do better.
Summary: I read a good portion of the reviews (good and bad) before I purchased this product. I found that most negative reviews were from people who didn't like how it broadcasted radio stations in their area and didn't work well with batteries. I found that it picks up radio stations in my area very well, it sounds good, and I only intend to use it with a plug. Consequently, I've been very happy with it.
Summary: The radio looks nice when you remove it from the box. The controls are laid out well and it looks like it is built to take a beating. I can't comment on the CD player or any of the other features. This went right back in the box when I discovered the tuner is absolute junk. I was able to tune in one or two stations very clearly and the sound quality was good.
