Summary: In my early adulthood, i was an audio sales guy and eventually a manager at electronics store....I learned many things about quality and product makers.....1) Sony always seems to put out good products 2) they will last you a long time. Don't think you will be disappointed.
Summary: I ordered the Sony Radio Cassette Recorder after looking everywhere on the internet to buy one. When I found the ad for the one I bought I got excited since I was buying it for my mother-in-law. She wanted to play old cassettes, including one of my now deceased father-in-law (her husband) and my kids as babies, etc. When I opened the package, it was obvious it was used, even though the ad said it was new.
Summary: This product is easy to operate for elderly people like me and the sound of music I played is great. With only one little problem is the price was too high compared to other suppliers. But I still do recommend to others about this product.
Summary: I purchased a refurbished Sony CFDS01 CD Radio Cassette Recorder from a well-reviewed Amazon retailer and it has proven to be almost a total failure. I tested it on battery power initially and it worked but after a few weeks (in which time I was using it on AC power) the batteries, which had not been used, entirely drained themselves apparently through some sort of short-circuit within the unit.
Summary: The radio function of this Sony product pulls in distant stations and has push-button station changing and it stays on frequency - no drift. The aerial is a pull-up whip style which works fine. Both the casette and CD functions play well. B.
Summary: I am disappointed with the feel, which is very cheap. We paid about fifty dollars for it last January; that was too much then and I notice that now it is up to eighty-odd, which is certainly not good value for the money. The CD function has been fine (which is why three stars), but the cassette player is unreliable and the door sticks shut such that I have to pry it open to remove or insert tapes..
