Summary: I read some of the other reviews and there seemed to be good and bad. My experience was not great. 1. The MP3 did not work, I tried numerous devices and none worked and yes, I had the switch on to MP3 2. The CD function did work, however, in order to hear the music I had to turn it ALL the way up - and it was in my bedroom as was I - and I am not hearing impaired. Just a very poorly designed product.
Summary: Antenna broke off the first day. The CD player makes a high pitch turning noise. You have to play the music very loud to use the CD player because of the high pitched sound it makes. The radio stations do not come in clear.

Summary: I have to give this 5 stars for it's features and price. while it is not a BOOM box, it is BOOM box's little brother. Loaded with features and good sound for it's 3 inch speakers. The sound is sufficient for an average room or work shop. I have used it in a small auditoium at church and because everyone was quite, it produced enough volume. I hadn't seen this mentioned but it has a built in equalizer. Pressing the program/eq button toggles through several setting.
Summary: I bought this product because I wanted an inexpensive means of listening to my MP3 audio discs. This is the second product I have purchased in the Naxa brand. About 2 years ago I purchased a small flat-screen TV/Monitor for use as part of my security system to monitor the front entrance. That product was excellent, so I took a chance on this much less expensive "boom box".
Summary: I ordered this unit to listen to books on MP3 CD. This player does not work with these CD's. The manufacturer was absolutely no help and finally said the problem probably is that the file size for a book is too large. That is the whole purpose of MP3 CD's, they hold huge files. So, the unit does not work properly (should be zero stars) and the manufacturer is worthless (should also be zero stars). Save yourself grief. Do not purchase this unit.
Summary: I have used this in my son's room to play night time music for about 2 years now. It works great. I don't love how you can hear the CD turning (sometimes over the low volume of the music) but otherwise it's great. I was looking for a stereo that would play MP3s, CDs, or the radio, and this was the least expensive, quality player I found. It's nice, and serves the purpose perfectly.
Summary: CDs got stuck and wouldn't continue playing right out of the package. Shipping was so expensive that it made no sense to return it. After a few uses both the CD player and the MP3 feature broke. The only thing that still works is the radio...Total piece of junk.
