Summary: I was hesitant about purchasing this item due to the varying reviews that I read here on Amazon. However I find the product is good....not exceptional but good. I am a fitness instructor and use it for my classes. It gives a clear good sound and is quite basey. It would be good for the boombox to have a base/treble adjustment though. A carrying handle would also be nice but on the whole not a bad piece of kit. I would say it is acceptable value for money.
Good Sound but lacking certain features/refinements

Summary: Good sound, the design is iconic. I used it for a small house party with a 30 strong guest list ... and it was awesome , it rocked!. The ipod feature is great. Living with this boom box however is a little disappointing. For starters it lacks an auxiliary input feature which was available on older models. Next noticeably missing is the AM band on the radio, only FM is available. The LED display is way too bright and cannot be dimmed.
Summary: at pr-photographer we love music especially when on assignment, so that's why this product was purchased. and it is good however whoever designed it I don't think has actually used it. Try walking with it, the first thing is your arm touches the buttons so whatever you're listening to and walking too, gets interrupted, So you try and look over your shoulder down to the side panel and try and get back to where you were.
Summary: Was a bit disappointed that I couldn't use with my laptop initially as there is no aux in. However located a dock connector to 3.5mm cable that works ie CableJive Dockboss. Also works with my B&W Zeppelin. Sound quality on the boom box is excellent now on iPod, iPad and laptop.

Summary: The product is very good with great sound quality, fantastic outdoors or indoors. However one of the sub woofers has blown & Discounteddigital have not been helpful at all in replacing the product, but have told us we ned to contact JVC to arrange collection & repair which is not the case! Discounteddigital should be replacing it! This case has been ongoing since August with still no resolve! Not a happy Customer.
Summary: One thing you cant deny about this unit......It is LOUD ! (But not as loud as its RV- B 52 watt predecessors - Which would have been preferable even without ipod docking, unfortunatly no longer being manufactured by JVC) You will be hard pushed to find anything portable on the market today that can outgun the RVNB50B for Volume.
Summary: I bought the music system to use at my aerobic classes. I wanted something which could take CD, ipod and usb and this ticked the boxes. The system delivers a good sound - loud enough and sounds and feels professional. The remote gives a little more control when changing tracks and music from CD to ipod etc. The only minus is that it doesn't provide pitch change.
Summary: Just bought this for my wife, as she has just set up a dance school and no portable player she has tried seemed to be loud enough for a hall.Ok, firstly the Pro's :- 1: louder than any other portable we have tried 2: Heavy bass for the size 3:Good Remote control. Con's 1: Sound quality could be better, especially at higher volumes, but overall not bad (this is no BOSE Sound-dock) 2:No seperate bass and treble control to refine sound, sytsem has pre-set tone controls i.e...
