Summary: Hard to find a good boom box for a decent price but this is it for those looking for such. Not too heavy and easy to carry, good sound even outdoors. Recommend it. First outdoor boom box I have liked after trying others.
Summary: I'm returning mine. No line-in/aux makes it useless to me. Can't play from a computer or non-ipod player. I have used two older models to play music for dance teaching, thought I'd get my own. Opened the box and took it to a dance - no line in. Disaster. Thanks, JVC. Re-reading the specs - this is NOT MENTIONED. Undoubtedly a decision from bonehead bean-counters or marketdroids. But I loved the old ones so I did some critical listening.
Summary: Use to have a JVC Kaboom Box when they first came out when they had a cassette and was blown away from the sound! Been without for sometime now and music just wasn't the same! Decided to purchase one on Amazon and so glad that I did! Missed the awesome beat that it produces and powerful bass. Not sure about some of the negative reviews I've read about the sound because it has great sound to it.
Summary: I researched this box online for a while B4 buying it. Alot of great reviews convinced me it was worth it since I wanted a top end unit. I normally would not have spent this much ona a "boombox" but I had spare cash and wanted high quality, and it is very clear with deep no reverb/scratchy bass. If you got the cash get the box.Takes alot of d-cells to run without A/C.
Summary: would not recommend this new kaboom box, the old one was much better, sold it after just 2 1/2 months, bass sounded blown the first use, sold it last week and bought the Bose companion II, love it, sorry but Bose kicks butt no matter what !!!
Pros: Easy To Transport, Fast Charge
Cons: Bass sounds blown, Bass sux bad, Carry strap sux, Sold it 4 bose, Weak Bass
Summary: I purchased the new version of the kaboom boom box locally thinking it would be of the same quality. I was wrong. I will say they have made it ipod compatible to a degree and it can play mp3's off of a usb drive. The bad is they redesigned the way the bass drivers vent and made them smaller. They use to vent out through tuned ports on the back of each side of the box, now though they vent through the front.
Summary: I got this JVC KABOOM sYSTEM , not yet 6 morth , but have probrom ,with usb mp3, Ipod , sometime lisen for 10 minens power off itself , usb mp3 it not realy working now it is over 2 morth . FM radio is working . I am stay at marshall Island , we order from U.S , I been Amazon customer for over 6 morth and I order over 5000.00 stuff from Amazon , please take care this mater.
Summary: I did a lot of research to find a Boombox that would kick out great sound yet is transportable. My wife has a show choir and they perform at venues that generally don't have a PA system to play music. The Kaboom is a perfect match for these situations. Excellent quality sound without the distortion at the higer volumes. The only flaw to keep me from giving it a "5 star" rating is that there is no "line-in".
