Summary: I don't know the correct jargon, but I bought this CD player so I could use a USB stick to play music from both itunes, Amazon, and CD's. It only plays certain types of files, not all. I had a USB that had about 20 songs, it only played about half. Very disappointed.
Summary: The Coby from Amazon is the best sounding radio for the price I have ever bought. It has a usb port and that is why I wanted it. A bonus is the cd player. I also have a radio station I listen to sometimes.
Summary: I am looking for portable CD/Player including MP3 and Radio, My most important preference in USB play back for MP3, and I got all in this player, Nice product, shipped fast, and sound quality is good, playing well, and I am satisfy with it.
Summary: Worked good for 6 months. Now it only plays first 3 songs and then stops. I called Coby, the representative recomended to clean laser with laser cleaning CD. I spent money on this disk but it didn't work. Called Coby again, they said labor warranty is 90 days only. Now it's going to the trash.
Summary: I chose this model because I wanted to use it in a work environment in which overly loud music is discouraged, especially when others also have radios. It doesn't put out a lot of sound, but it is sufficient enough to hear in my work area without disturbing everyone else.
Pros: Small, Plays my music from a thumb drive, Sound is clear and crisp, even at it's higher volume levels. I haven't verified this 100% but I believe it also plays my wma files on my thumb drive.
Cons: The only con is the speakers are actually a little smaller than you would think judging by the speaker grills. Also, I haven't quite figured out an easy way to navigate through the albums on my thumb drive, but this could be operator failure on my part. I usually just put it on random.
Summary: For basic boom box music quality is just acceptable at medium volume with ability to play CDs with mp3/WMA as well as on flash USB plug in drives; it's a good value, but I would have paid more for these features in a better sounding box.
Pros: USB input and MP3/WMA capability at a very reasonable price. I put a few gig's of music on a flash drive from Windows Media player and then simply plugged it into the Coby and it plays fine.
Cons: Sound quality is not that great.. I bought it to practice a language course on CDs and I find that the sound quality isn't good enough to get the pronunciation. The LCD screen is not back lit and is very hard to read unless in bright light. FM radio has no indication of channel and the reception ...
