Summary: I don't know the correct jargon, but I bought this CD player so I could use a USB stick to play music from both itunes, Amazon, and CD's. It only plays certain types of files, not all. I had a USB that had about 20 songs, it only played about half. Very disappointed. Other con: sound is bad, it's weak. I have an old CD/radio player, many years old, sound is much better and it was inexpensive.
Summary: I would not recommend this product to anyone. The main reason for buying this product was so I could take it to the beach and use the USB without getting all my CD's sandy and ruined. My sis-n-law bought one at the same time and her's works fine. However, whenever I unplug my boombox, the CD player and the USB port do not work. Some annoying ticking noise is the only thing that happens. Total waste of money and I didn't return it within the allotted time.
Summary: I needed a compact stereo that read both from a CD and from a USB stick for my toddler to use in the kitchen. It sits on the floor and it plays automatically when he turns it on which is great. It's a little different than in the photo- the display is not lit and has room for three digits. It looks more like an old-fashioned digital watch display. Totally doesn't matter, just commenting. I'm very happy with this stereo.
Summary: This little thing works very good, and it is more tiny than it looks in the picture, so you can easily handle and take it to everywhere Cons: The sound is kind of week, so its not intended por large audiences, its more kind of personal gadget or small closed places
Summary: I wanted a boombox that plays MP3 music CDs and MP3 files on memory sticks and this portable stereo perfectly suited my needs. It doesn't have any special functions such as repeat song or repeat entire CD so don't expect anything more than a no-frills boombox. However, it is very reasonably priced and it sounds fine.
Summary: This radio is exactly what I expected to get. The reason I got it was because of the USB. It's a little funky because you cannot switch from USB to CD. The only way you can use the USB feature is if there is no CD in the player. This is not a big deal, just a little funky. Some of the other reviews complained about the sound. I would love it if the sound was better, but the sound quality is exactly what you would expect from a portable radio at this price point (flat).
