Summary: But it works pretty good. You do have to put in the 10 D batteries even though it's plugged into an outlet to get the best sound. I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you had the resources to get something better. I didn't, but for what it cost, I'm not unhappy.
Summary: The Coby CX-CD282 Boombox has a muted boom (it's ok, but not earth shattering), fairly convenient controls and an adequate CD and tape player. I was somewhat disappointed with the analog AM/FM tuner, it didn't pick up as many stations as a cheaper radio, and the stereo effect was not obvious, but since that wasn't the primary reason for my purchase, I'm not going to complain. Sound quality was adequate, but not outstanding. Tone controls primitive.
