Wrath of the Titans

BluRay Authority
18 October 2013
  • Excerpt: You’ve got to hand it to the Greeks – they’ve given us several things that still resonate in our daily lives. Don’t believe me? How about the Olympics? The Gods? Fraternities and sororities? Gyros? Ok, maybe the last one was pushing it a bit, but still the enduring myths of the Greek (and to the same extent, the Roman) gods still entertain us.

Wrath of the Titans

ComingSoon
17 October 2013
  • Excerpt: The argument against remakes has always been that they are symptomatic of a lack of imagination. That they try to recapture audience enthusiasm by reminding them what they liked about the original, and usually not straying to far from that zone, limiting what the new effort can do. The same can be said for sequels as well, so a sequel of a remake has a long uphill trudge to look forward to. Carrying a boulder.

Wrath of the Titans 3D Blu-ray Disc Review

About.com
27 June 2013
  • Conclusion: In summing up Wrath of the Titans on Blu-ray, I come away with mixed feelings about the story, which is really kind of a rehash of Clash of the Titans with some extra villains, monsters, and lot more action, but is also a disc that is presented with excellent quality audio and video, and fairly good 3D execution.

Wrath of the Titans

Sound & Vision Magazine
1 October 2012
  • Excerpt: A sequel to 2010’s Clash of the Titans, Wrath throws so much at you early on that I ran to Wikipedia with my head spinning to learn more about Perseus, Zeus, Helius, Pegasus, Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Queen Andromeda, Agenor, Hephaestus, Tartarus, and Kronos. I discovered there that Kronos also had father issues; he castrated his own dad, Uranus, with a sickle. But that’s a story for a different sequel, perhaps Return of the Eunuchs.

Wrath of the Titans Review

DoBlu
19 July 2012
  • Excerpt: Zeus, Hades, and Ares walk into a bar. They fight, they make up, the end. No, it’s not a very engaging story. Know what? It doesn’t matter. Wrath of the Titans is awe-inspiring spectacle of scale, size, and the gods doling out punishment. Without anything to live up to -and Ray Harryhausen is a gargantuan challenge- Wrath says “screw it,” and jumps in fire breathing demons blazing. It’s stupid, sure.

Wrath of the Titans

digitalbits.com
9 July 2012
  • Excerpt: Moviegoers experienced the fantastic, as the tagline went, for 1981's Clash of the Titans . The film boasted the final work of stop-motion animation pioneer Ray Harryhausen and a "Who's Who" of British thespians (among them Sir Laurence Olivier, Dame Maggie Smith, Claire Bloom and Sian Phillips) in a wondrous spin on Greek mythology also starring Harry Hamlin ( L.A. Law ) and Ursula Andress ( Dr. No Casino Royale ). If there was any surprise to Warner Bros.
