Summary: This movie was like 28 weeks later but the zombies in this movie have super powers. Okay I was the first one to be looking forward to this movie and it did not let me down. I mean the visual effect's look better in the movie and brad Pitt is still a good actor.
Excerpt: Zombies: World War Z is a gory thriller. At one point of time, when things get unleashed, I was wondering, how is this going to end. Luckily I am relieved and in fact I give a strong statement that Pitt pulled it off with his guts and charm. Gory scares: Director Marc Foster (after a poor take on James Bond) has brought back the zing to the hardly unbelievable film that gets brownie points for its novel take on the zombie genre.
Excerpt: Realistic, action packed and smart zombie flick. Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), his wife Karin's (Mireille Enos) family is caught on the road from a widespread panic because of a virus spread in New Jersey. Some memorable lines from the movie: "It's crazy." "Movement is life." "If you can fight, fight...help each other...be prepared for anything" - Gerry "With all respect please turn off all cell phones and pagers.
Summary: its was a ok movie. entertaining i guess visual look of the mass zombies was very good. brad pitt though who i like lacked any soul though throughout the film. not sure if he was right for the part or the way it was written but he was lifeless and soulless which is a shame as i like his films. The ending was a bit poor to be honest but i guess there will be a world war z part 2 by the look of it. overall a entertaining movie ok/decent nothing more than that.
Excerpt: Small spoilers The movie has some very high suspense moments still it did not entertain me. I had very many problems with the movie, the script, the directing. The performances are solid but not great. Damn, Brad Pitt got old. The story is quite usual: Zombies and panic. We have seen that very often. And of course there is one hero who tries to find a cure. The directing of the movie was strong at some parts but then Marc Forster fell in love with Brad Pitt.
Excerpt: After a messy production period, various re-shoots, and a 190 million dollar budget- exceeding the original 125 million price tag- World War Z had been expected to flop both critically and financially. Much to the surprise of most, World War Z did moderately well with critics and performed well at box office. As for me personally, I found it pretty difficult to even sit still during the film as it was a truly nerve-wracking experience.
Excerpt: Here's my take on zombie movies: A zombie movie doesn't need high class and drama. It needs good props and makeup, a good script, and a good director. This film has two of them, the weakest being the director. Marc Forster is not a bad director. He is just bad at filming action. He made Stranger Than Fiction, an adorable little romantic comedy, which really surprised me with its depth and acting. He should stick to that.
