Summary: A gripping, exciting and engaging story that was well conceived and very well produced. Having read the book I can understand why the film had to be different as the book content lends itself more to a TV series or a series of shorter TV movies.
Summary: So very nearly a great movie, but in the end it's decidely average. The quality of the scenes goes up and down, yo-yo fashion, and that ending that they reportedly reshot is lame. I won't spoil it, but I will say that the structure is the opposite of crescendo. It starts with bombast and gradually fizzles out.
Summary: Really wasn't expecting much from this film, in fact I even read some slightly negative reviews,Yes, there has been a gazillion zombie films made, how ever, I found the film fast paced, well acted and a good story line which seemed to cover the best part of the globe. 100% WORTH A WATCH.
Summary: Once you've seen one zombie film you've seen them all........ That last statement is just not true. I've seen good ones and and mediocre ones. Where does World War Z fall? That's really a good question and the answer is right in the middle. It gets points for originality and pure scale but loses just as many points for not having enough emotion or any surprises.
Summary: Definitely not the best zombie film around (or ever) but nowhere near the worst either. If I'm honest the concepts around defeating (or 'surviving' is a better word) the zombies have been seen before and are nothing new. Brad Pitt not really given the opportunity to excel as he does in Joe Black, Jesse James and Inglorious Basterds. However, the 3D experience was superb and worth sitting through the film for that alone.
