Excerpt: Ever been dragged into a movie that you had no interest in seeing? How many times did you end up liking that movie much more than you expected? I'm happy to say that's what happened to me with Water for Elephants. I wanted to see the other animal movie that came out this weekend, but alas I settled for this one. I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The drama was pretty well done.
Excerpt: "You do right by me, I'll show you a life most suckers can't even dream of". - August As far as a romantic drama goes, this was a pretty good one, once the train starts rolling along. Based on the novel by Sara Gruen, this takes place during the Great Depression ( I know, what was so great about it?) when a young immigrant’s parents die suddenly in a freak accident. Now destitute, with no way of finishing his veterinary degree, Jacob joins the circus.
Excerpt: After a quick breeze through several scenes, I can definitely say the PQ and AQ of this release are excellent! This release comes highly recommended! Check you local Best Buy - they just might have it out like mine did!
Summary: I'm going to sound like such a girl when I write this but after seeing water for elephants I felt so emotional. It was just so beautiful! I left the movie feeling very moved by the story and that hasnt happened in a very long time!
Summary: Absolutely a beautiful movie with wonderful performances from all the cast. Anyone who says differently has their "I hate Rob Pattinson and everything he does" glasses on (including some critics)!!!! But trust me, this movie is very worth seeing and very well done by all involved!
Summary: Completely surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. It was very sweet in places but also had some depth. Pattinson surprised me the most. He is a very good actor with the potential to be great in a few years time.
Summary: Water for Elephants was a WONDERFUL book. I was afraid that no movie could compare to the delicious tale spun by Sara Gruen. I was particularly worried about Robert Pattinson being able to bring life to Jacob on screen (given that he's really only excelled at being a dead vampire). Also, the critics weren't too nice to this film. I have to say though, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I fell back into the story with the cast of characters.
