Summary: Urban Legend followed the success of Scream and the movie is a fun horror ride as well. The actors are well cast, there are decent scares and a clever plot. The movie was made for horror fans and nothing in the movie feels hokey or copied.
Excerpt: First off, I must say that I find this to be a very underrated horror film. The concept was original at the time and feel this is a great film to have in your collection. The cast and acting was great, despite being overlooked by too many. Anyway... The thing that always stood out for me on the DVD was the sound mix, and this truly shines on the Blu-ray.
Summary: Kids at University start getting bumped off, killings are like "Urban Legends", kids investigate, it would have worked if it hadn't been for you meddling kids. Live action Scooby Doo episode but the cartoon had better story lines. Usual cliched teen horror that came out after Scream in the late 90s that doesn't offer anything new or original. Saying that, I did get the killer wrong.
Excerpt: A series of unique deaths are taking place on a New England college campus. Each of the deaths is reassembling an Urban Legend. Natalie and her friend, school journalist Paul are caught in the middle of the mayhem. One by one each of their friends meets their gruesome death. Can Paul and Natalie find who is behind the murders or become victims themselves. Urban Legend appears on blu ray with a 1080p, 2.40:1 high definition transfer.
Summary: Slashers are never "good". OK maybe the first Scream but slashers are never "a good movie". But there is a good slasher and bad slashers. Prom Night, a very bad slasher. The sequel to this, a very bad slasher. But I really like this one. I absolutely love the plot. The deaths are awesome I still jump up in my seat when the principal is killed. I didn't expect Brenda as killer when I saw it first. The plot works. The death works. I didn't know who the killer was.
