Summary: R.I.P. Tony scoot. The story is about a runaway train full of highly toxic and combustible material is on a collision course with a small town unless an intrepid engineer and conductor can stop it in time. the camera in this film would not stay still and it gets really annoying after a while but the action is enjoyable to watch and the acting is fine.
Summary: He asked the question "why do bad things happen to good people". He answers it by going through the bible. This was a good heart felt movie. I was expectiing a little more but over all this was a good film.
Excerpt: A train keeps moving after a mistake of two conductors and keeps going faster. It is heading to a city and fall out a very curvy corner. But it comes worse: the train is loaded with toxic material, and other trains are coming right at it... The movie is inspired by true story of a train who, on the 15th may 2001, drove 100km through Ohio without a conductor. But this movie is set up in Pennsylvania and the characters are invented.
Excerpt: When a runaway train escapes the rail yard, it's up to an experienced engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine) to put aside their differences and slow it down. The train is pulling tankers containing highly explosive material, and hurtling along at 70mph it has to be stopped before it hits civilization. Assisting them is a headstrong yardmaster (Rosario Dawson) who hopes to derail the locomotive in a sparsely populated area.
Summary: I will make this short and sweet, which is exactly what the movie could have been if anyone with half a brain had been in charge of stopping this train. The acting and direction were adequate, and the movie was not a complete waste of time, but it was just absolutely ridiculous that the train could not be stopped sooner.
Summary: Another solid outing from Tony Scott and Denzel Washington. Though a lot of liberties are taken with the true story this movie is based on, there is still some good old action movie fun to be had here as Washington and Pine play characters chasing down a runaway train. Though the first 30 minutes present your typical cliches, where about every 5 minutes the situation gets worse, once the main story gets going it's an enjoyable ride.
Conclusion: This was hilarious for the first hour. All the Hollywood cliches were in full flow. Every sentence was said with patriotic gustoe and everything was fantastically sensualised. Very very cheesy and for a while tried to make the most simplest of tasks seem to be the most exciting thing in the world.
