The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 (Blu-ray)

DVD Verdict
25 March 2013
  • Excerpt: Well now they've done it! With Edward turning Bella (Kristin Stewart, Snow White and the Huntsman ) into a vampire they've brought down the wrath of the Volturi, the vampire version of the SS Squad, upon everyone's heads. Will the Quileute fight with them, especially now that Jacob (Taylor Lautner, Abduction ) has imprinted upon Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy, R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour )?

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Review

DoBlu
8 March 2013
  • Excerpt: The Twilight saga is 608 minutes long. Ten hours. Ten long, arduous hours. For Breaking Dawn , the goal is closure. The Cullens stand on one side of a conveniently open field, the Volturi on the other. Finally, this series can blow up a bit with a bit of inter-species war. Except not. Oh sure, heads are decapitated in a staggering display is violence that skims the PG-13 as close as it can go. Dakota Fanning is ripped apart by (still) painfully rendered CG werewolves.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

High-Def Digest
26 February 2013
  • Conclusion: Unfortunately, the final chapter to the 'Twilight Saga' series, 'Breaking Dawn – Part 2,' actually succeeds at being both the worst of the entire franchise and also the most exciting, action-packed installment. It's made all the more awful by featuring the shoddiest and cheapest looking CGI work we've seen in recent movie history, and finishing the climactic battle sequence with the most amateurish, clichéd plot twist imaginable.

Of the three, two have won; Bella's made her choice between the two Hollywood hunks and Twilight 's big screen run has come to an end, cause for mourning for some and celebration for others. For those sad to see the series end, fret not.

Review: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is Twilight at its most tolerable

GameZone
20 November 2012
  • Excerpt: At the opening of Breaking Dawn Part 2 , the Twilight saga has already crossed the majority of its more questionable storytelling bumps. The awkward love triangle is over, freeing the characters of the constant hemming and hawing that made the majority of the previous films unbearable. With Bella awoken as a vampire, Kristen Stewart's breathy, neurotic take on the character has transformed into something more confident and watchable.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2

AV Club
15 November 2012
  • Excerpt: From the start, the Twilight film series has struggled with the dearth of external conflict presented in its source material. This isn’t a problem for fans of Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling book series, who can recall every thought and emotion behind the many, many protracted stares exchanged between characters, while those not indoctrinated into Meyer’s world are left to wonder why everyone in the film appears to be in constant gastrointestinal distress.
