Excerpt: Despite a decent video presentation, purists will likely want to stick with the previous DVD release(s), which have the film's original mono audio mix. Note: As with the initial Blu-ray release, the audio on this disc is the same bastardized, remixed and remastered offering that was initially introduced for the Special Edition DVD.
Summary: A human and a cyborg are sent from the future, one to protect the mother of a boy who will someday be needed to save the world, and one to kill her. This movie was okay and I know a lot of people like this film and I can say the movie as good score and CGI.
Excerpt: Probably Cameron's most efficient film, and certainly one of his best. The initial setup leads to a tense confrontation at a nightclub, and thereafter the film moves at breakneck speed. Whilst Schwarzenegger was born to play the title character, it's interesting watching Linda Hamilton develop from a seemingly timid and scared heroine into the more determined fighter that will dominate the sequel.
Excerpt: I always loved this film but the remaster seemed even better. I think there were many added scenes or maybe I just didn't remember all of 'em. Very well done and as far as the sound goes, I am waiting for the rest of system to arrive so I can't give a reasonable opinion. Ovwerall, a very good film that I figured I should get back to since Arnold is going to go back for another one coming. Hold on everybody.
Excerpt: I remember seeing this film a lot when I was younger, on cable and on a bootleg VHS tape. Eventually I would acquire a special edition box set with a holographic cover that came with both this film and the second one in wide screen, a booklet and a third tape with supplement extras including the making of Terminator: A Retrospective, which is included on this disc.
Excerpt: what else is there to be said that hasn't been in regards to how much of a classic this movie holds and remains so. Not only did it launch the career's of writer/director James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger but it has seen many, many imitations with some good and some horrid homages. THE TERMINATOR remains solid and well made and this newly restored version finally gives this movie it's proper HD release.
