Summary: The Purge brought to the table a creative idea - a 12-hour law-free timezone that allowed people to break whatever laws they wanted, including murder - and then ruined it by creating a focus that didn't make sense. Where they could've focused on more creative outlets, they threw the leads into a home slasher that would please most horror movie advocates, but it didn't hold up to the brilliance the movie seemed to promise.
Summary: A night were a stupid kid that almost got he's family killed. The film follows a family during one of these periods as they must protect themselves from a home invasion. This movie had a good story but this movie kind of suck. I mean the acting is good but they is a kid in the movie that is really stupid.
Excerpt: The whole idea of an annual 'purge' in the near future in the US is just ridiculous. And the filmmakers didn't even try to explain how the decision came about. We just landed at the beginning of the purge with a psycho boyfriend prop and the obligatory creepy neighbours. Who would have guessed that the neighbours would end up being bad? Dull, boring, silly, lame. Don't bother watching this one. Ignore the clever cover art and get something else.
