Excerpt: The Pact is a horror movie that's done in a way that makes it different to other horror movies at that time, and I'm talking about slow build up and suspense. The story is about a Nicole (Bruckner) and Annie (Lotz) reluctantly return to their childhood home to pay their last respects.

Excerpt: Goodbye found-footage, you little cheap gimmick you! Say hello to Nicholas McCarthy's The Pact, an engaging horror film that is genuinely scary and occasionally pretty intense. It's that rare horror film nowadays that uses mood and atmosphere as a tool to tell the story.
Excerpt: I was watching this very late at night by myself alone. It gave me a very uneasy feeling. I had no idea what I was watching. very soon through the movie it was clear to me that it started to raise the hairs on the back of my neck then my arms at one point it made me very uncomfortable.
Summary: This film got off to a cliched start and I didn't get into it until the almost the second half. But, once I was invested, things became creepy. The mystery was more involving and the scares grew in tensity. The climax was particularly memorable.
Summary: After seeing the advertisements for this film we thought we had to go see it. Its starts off with you thinking whats going on but it gradually gets better and scarier. The plotline isnt too bad but I would think that there is plans for a number 2 to follow.
