The last man alive, is not alone!

  • Excerpt: This Blu-Ray release for "The Omega Man" was actually better than I expected. I don't understand how some people thought it was a poor BD release, it was definetly a great difference from the DVD. For a movie that came out back in 1971, you can't expect it to be spotless clean, with no grain at all.

Better than I am Legend

Chrysagon, blu-ray.com

  • Excerpt: This movie held my interest far more than I am Legend. I like Will Smith, but I think he was miscast for IAL. In addition, IAL was, simply put, dull. It had boring howling wide jawed ghouls, little drama and I just didn't feel for his character or the people he encountered.

Very nice concidering the age of the materials

  • Excerpt: Nice transfert, although some shots are very grainy and blur (these are rare). The audio range from poor quality to very poor quality. The worst part is on the bonus side. Except for a featurette that has approximately no interest, nothing's under the sun.

"A man who understands nothing until there was nothing left to underst

5 June 2009
  • Excerpt: Somewhat based on the book “I Am Legend,” this film is something of a cult sci-fi horror flick, with some slick action and some memorable scenes. It’s become rather dated and silly by today’s standards (especially with the outdated hairstyles, costumes, music, and everything), but if you enjoy other...

  • Excerpt: This presentation of THE OMEGA MAN is very solid. First off Omega Man contains film grain! Get over it. Different lighting situations will handle it as it does. Colors are nicely saturated and fleshtones seem to be stable and natural.

  • Excerpt: Picked this up tonight only because it was cheap. It is an ok movie, does not compare at all to I Am Legend, but it is entertaining in a comedic sort of way. Could have been better I suppose, "the family" is way diferent than that of the creatures in the latter film.

  • Excerpt: The Omega Man is a favorite cult classic. The video transfer was wonderful, although there are some grainy segments. I have compared this to the DVD version and you can see a tremendous difference.
