  • Summary: I reviewed ' The Expendables ' when it first came out on Blu-ray. Now we're getting a Director's Cut. There's an introduction from Sylvester Stallone before the menu comes up with him presenting this cut. He says he likes it better, and it has "more heart.

The Expendables (Extended Director’s Cut) (Blu-ray)

upcomingdiscs.com
21 December 2011
  • Summary: The film didn’t quite live up to the hype at the box office. It made a respectable $100 million, but it cost $80 million to make. That’s not the success that Lionsgate was likely counting on with this movie. There was a ton of buzz for over a year as the film made its way through production.

  • Conclusion: I love Stallone as a director. He's dedicated to his craft, and becomes deeply immersed in whatever project he's working on. While 'The Expendables' didn't feel exactly like a return to the old action movies we used to love, it was definitely something we haven't seen for a while.

It’s where the thought process says that when a guy is taking six shots to the body, he still needs a poorly computer...
