Excerpt: In a rare instant when movies come and go they eventually find a new life on home video. The Boondock Saints did just that and with that a sequel was born a decade later with a limited theatrical run and it did about the same business as the original.
Excerpt: Big fan of the first one. This one was not as good as the first, but it did pay much homage to it as hoped. I thought it was well done enough that I still enjoyed it. It kept more or less true to the story and characters and though it followed much the same formula, it didn't come off as a carbon...
Excerpt: Being a huge fan of the first film, I went into this one a little reluctant. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the overall story was good, it had the same sort of humor and action as the first.
Excerpt: This is fucking great! The first 1/2 to 3/4 is a lot of throw back stuff. There is the crate scene that is TOO much like the ceiling scene, there is a lot music overlay, and Greenley (Bob Maley) is a little bit weirder than the last movie.
Summary: Anyone would be hard pressed to find a bigger fan of the first 'Boondock Saints' then myself. Personally I have it rated as my #3 film of all time (#1 Aliens, #2 The Dark Knight), but 'Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day' is a huge disappointment. It is actually so bad that it ruins the first film.
Excerpt: the blu-ray review. I loved this movie and I've been a 10 year fan of the first. The first will never be replaced in my book as the favorite but this movie was an amazing sequel. Troy could've butchered this sequel but instead he made it a fans delight, constantly referencing the first movie.
Excerpt: Warning if you are a hardcore fan of the first one you will not like this movie. I really love Boondock saints and I will give this movie a five because it really does great with the comedy. I Have to say the video had some grain but it still looked great.

After flopping theatrically, but soaring on DVD sales, and also being nearly 10 years later, Troy Duffy has finally got the contracting done, the movie made, having it do strongly in theaters, and now has...
