Summary: I really like to buy movies on the day they come out, and my children especially love this concept too. I thought this would be great to pre-order thinking that I would have on the same date. I was wrong! It doesn't make sense to pre-order and not to receive until 2-3 days later, after the roll-out to the general public. I was very disappointed, and most likely won't be doing/recommending this process.
Excerpt: A few of the loyal readers of my reviews have been busten' them on my thoughts of the most anticipated superhero movie of the year. Hear it is however you might be a shad dissapointed cause i surely was!! Zzzzzzz!! the storyline was incredibly boring. Now i know a lot of my mates will state that i'm not a comic book fan or something, that couldn't be more further from the truth.
Excerpt: This review may contain a few spoilers. But at this point, everyone has already seen The Avengers, and if you haven't already, you're probably going to see it anyway. So why even bother with a review? Because there's no way I can say that I dislike The Avengers without explaining myself. I'm not big on super heroes. The only film I've seen related to The Avengers is Iron Man 2, which I wasn't impressed with.
Summary: Consider: I am not a comic book reader. Therefore my opinion probably means little to most of you. I just do not understand the love for this movie. The Avengers has every standard comic movie cliché that any movie goer has seen in the last decade. A typical, tired story arc involving a bland, evil, power-hungry, villain who seeks to make the inhabitants of earth submit to his authority.
