27 September 2013
  • Conclusion: Shout! Factory has once again gone above and beyond with a very handsomely mounted package of three films which offer at the most a certain campy cult value. But this set is appointed with a lot of great supplements which should be of real interest to these films' fans. The films themselves are pretty lamentable, but this is one set where the supplements provide the most compelling reason to pick up the set, and for those with an interest in this franchise, this set...

The Amityville Horror Trilogy (Blu-ray Review)

26 September 2013
  • Conclusion: The big reason to pick up this release is Amityville II: The Possession .  It’s a grisly little horror film and the treatment it’s been given here with presentation and bonus material is a fantastic combination.  While I’m not a big fan of the first film, it is something to have in your horror collection and is an “ok” but largely mediocre film.  But it has its fans, legacy and following, so it may be a bigger catch for most.

The Amityville Horror Trilogy

High-Def Digest
9 September 2013
  • Conclusion: The original theatrical trilogy to 'The Amityville Horror' franchise comes with more amusing memories than it does genuine scares. Although this is somewhat disappointing, especially with the first movie not being as scary as once thought, the nostalgia all three films elicit is enough for them to still be enjoyed. The sequel/prequel has arguably aged best, but they each come attached with their own set of memories.
