Summary: Does exactly what it says on the tin and delivers a story about a man who has yet to lose his virginity at 40 years old. Steve Carell puts in a hilarious performance as Andy, a single man living alone, who works at an electronics store, quite content with living his care-free, routine ridden life, riding his bike to work, routine morning ritual and so on, and this is disturbed after a small poker game involving his co- workers where Andy's little secret comes out.
Summary: Carrell makes this movie take-off. With Rudd and Rogan on his side, this has become my favorite Apatow movie. Funny and insane with a funny story and premise. Carrell is believable and hilarious. The waxing scene is actual footage of Carrell being waxed. He literally could not handle it, him storming off was real and unplanned. This is a must-see for all comedy fans.
Excerpt: I have no clue how this thing has gotten so many 4's for video. No hyperbole intended, it might be the worst transfer I own. Not only is it heavily filtered to the point where detail is obliterated, everything has a thick ugly white halo. These are all easily witnessed in this site's own screenshots. It's a shame as I really like the movie. It's one of my favorite comedies with great laughs and a lot of heart. Audio is fine and extras are plentiful and solid.
Excerpt: Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) is your typical dorky guy who rides a bicycle to work. He works at an electronics store, he collects things, he is always in good spirits, and overall he is a pretty average 40-year-old guy who has plenty of video games and a working knowledge of films and technology. One day at his job, Andy gets an offer from David (Paul Rudd) to come play poker with him and his buddies Jay (Romany Malco) and Cal (Seth Rogen) as a necessary fifth member.
Summary: Very funny. Not sure I would recommend it to young viewers, but it brings everything a comedy should. it was great because it went where no one else would go. It took chances and that payed off.
Summary: It's a great comedy. You can count on Steve Carrell to make you laugh the whole way through the movie. Even if you watch it a number of times this movie does not fail to make you laugh. If you want to have a good laugh then this is the movie for you.
Summary: The 40 year old Vrigin is the funniest movie of the decade. If you don't laugh in this movie your are deprerssed. The movie was smart, witty and hilarious. Steve Carell was excellent. One of the best movies of the year.
