SG1 - The Tela-movie part duex.......................................

Guydowood, blu-ray.com
2 January 2010
  • Excerpt: What sets this second SG1 movie apart from the first is that it is a stand alone story of sorts, but it also deals with a main villian that gained ruler status in SG1 season six. All of the SG1 players are back including General Jack O'Neal himself in a few cameo spots played by a more heavy set Richard Dean Anderson. The time travel plot is always a nice touch, but once you get to the point you have to ask yourself why.

  • Summary: STARGATE is the freaking greatest TV-series i've seen my whole life. It all started when a friend of mine forced me to watch two episodes with him. It was actually interesting :) Within the following 3 months I had bought and seen all of stargate up to date. 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1 containing 214 episodes, 5 seasons of Stargate Atlantis containing 100 episodes, ½ season of Stargate Universe containing so far 10 episodes Besides that i've seen the two stargate movies:...

  • Summary: It was typical Stargate SG1. I had hoped the production values might go up for a movie release. I honestly thought some of the 9th season was better as far as content.

Extremely Good

  • Excerpt: I was surprised how much better Continuum was from the Ark of Truth. The Ark of Truth was hard to watch. It was a really bad one hour episode stretched to a movie length. Another thing about Ark of Truth is the bad directing and/or editing. It felt like they didn't hire a good director or spent enough time preparing the movie. Ark of truth was just awful and I really love Stargate. Then comes Continuum on blu-ray.

  • Summary: The made for DVD movie Stargate Continuum Is an excellent movie, both in the story telling, and the fact that one doesn't have to be a fan to follow the story line. This movie is truly a stand alone story, and someone who has never even heard of the Stargate movie or series will be able to keep up and enjoy this story.

Not the best, but worth it for fans

  • Excerpt: I didn't like this one as much as "Ark of Truth", but it wasn't bad. Video looked good from where I was seated. Audio was decent, but no Uncompressed Audio to be found. Extras were nice enough. Once again, this is a good film with decent audio and video, but "Ark of Truth" was better. It's too bad that Don S. Davis died shortly before this film was released, he will be missed by Stargate fans everywhere!

  • Summary: The best stargate movie to come out. i liked the ark of truth but this was so much better. Richard dean Anderson's cameo well more of a bit player was great he never ceases to amaze me. The whole cast returns and pays homage to Australia in one of the jokes which was hilarious!. Amanda tapping looked extremely beautiful in the movie. Beau bridge,Claudia black, Ben browder, Christopher judge and of course one of my favorites next to Richard Michael shanks.

Better than I expected, very good story line.

  • Excerpt: I think it was outdone first stargate movie, however it was a slow start in the beginning, but in the middle it start changing the plot a lot and interesting, the acting was mediocre but is kinda funny in some part. It only cost them 7 million to make, they really make good use of their money, and they even added nice CGI effect.
