Excerpt: This movie is a very worthwhile remake regardless of the naysayers. Cumberbatch STOLE the show and the returning cast is just as awesome. As a sci-fi film it's terrible, but as a space/adventure film it is flawless. The 3D experience thrilled in Imax and thrills on blu-ray! Keep in mind, in ain't the Hobbit, or Pacific Rim but it is easily one of the best conversions ever done. Depth is fantastic, every shot seems to pop.
An even better continuation to a fantastic reboot.

Excerpt: I absolutely loved this film, as it had everything one could hope for: interesting characters, a great story, humour, action, wonderful set pieces, terrific music, and some of the best VFX ever to grace the screen (spaceship crashing into a big city!). PQ: Nothing to complain about here. AQ: Nor here. Extras: Lame beyond belief. Paramount used to be great regarding extras. Not anymore. This is a tragedy!
Excerpt: its already known that this is a good movie, looks good, sounds good. ill only review the 3D.. its unnecessary... the only times where i saw the effect catch my eyes was during warp speed ... after the its just not suppose to be in this movies....
Excerpt: This is the second movie with the "new crew" which plays in a kind of a alternate timeline. Not many Trekkies likes what J.J. Abrahms did with this Star Trek Franchise. My opinion: its not bad... but it was entertaining enough to keep my interest. I was skeptic with the "new" Scotty played by Simon Pegg. He's doing his job so far good. I don't care about the IMAX scenes which are not in 1.78:1 because I don't have IMAX at home - so 2,35:1 on BD is perfect.
Excerpt: This review is strictly about the 3D presentation of the movie, not of the movie itself. Yes, this movie was a post conversion, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The 3D in this movie was, for the most part, great. There a was a good sense of depth throughout the movie, you could clearly see the space between characters as well as background objects.
As much an exhilarating thrill-ride as it is a awesomely-made movie!

Excerpt: It’s a whole new ball game for the Star Trek franchise! After five successful T.V. shows and ten feature-length movies, some of them great while others were mediocre at best, there wasn’t any new money coming in following the critically bashed ‘Star Trek: Nemesis’ and this long-loved Trekkie franchise was on the brink of dying, but filmmaker J.J.
Excerpt: Movie: To me, this is by far the best Star Trek movie yet! The story, the twists and the way it is updating the Star Trek universe based on this new timeline (especially with regards to the villian) is just pure awesome! 3D Blu-ray Disc Version: The 3D in this movie is great. Lotsa "pop-out"s scenes from the chase scene in the beginning upto the space warp scene in the end. Awesome PQ and AQ. Blu-ray Disc Version: The PQ and AQ is awesome here too.
Excerpt: This was an $8 blind buy for me on Black Friday. I'm not a trekkie but loved the last one. This one I loved too but a little less. That basically always happens though that the second in a series is not as good as the first. What you do get is exceptional PQ, AQ and special effects. One very funny thing for me was near the end of the movie. You have a modern technology futuristic San Francisco yet the current day cable car is shown for a split second.
