Excerpt: I went into this with the worst expectations, I had heard so many awful thing about this movie that it took me a while after it was released on Blu to actually watching it. That said, I thought this was a fun movie! Was there bad acting? Of course. Was the plot not so great? Yes.
Excerpt: Okay, so the movie wasn't Woar of the Worlds, but people to give it a 2.0 or lower is just insane. Actually the orginality wasn't bad at all, I honestly enjoyed it. The DTS on my Samsung was brillant. I agree this can't be compared to District 9, however I think viewers should give it a rent!
Strangely interesting and stylish apocalyptic science fiction

Summary: I'm surprised this move is not higher rated. I think its one of the best science fiction/monster movies to come out in some time. Awesome special effects in this one, with nice designs for the monsters and the alien ships and tech.
Summary: Aliens descend on Los Angeles out of the blue, surround the young casts condo, and prepare to finish them off, then the movie switches to "15 hours earlier". What more import information could we possibly need to know, what the characters exchanged for birthday presents?
I saw AVP:R. I was ready to rip SKYLINE to shreds....

Summary: ...but to be quite honest, it isn't that bad. Actually an OK B-Movie. All of the complaints against the acting are, for the most part, unfounded. It's not academy award winning material, but i think pretty much everyone involved gives competent performances.
Summary: They drop from the sky with no warning. They do seemingly inexplicable things. They are capable of things that defy human experience. And we see it from the perspective of people we have no real connection to.
Summary: I see many posters claims Skyline is the 'worst movie ever' - that isn't even close to true. This $10 million movie was way better than the $100 million Van Helsing. And also way better than Johnny Mnemonic which is the gold standard by which I judge all bad movies. I actually liked Skyline.
Conclusion: look this is not a bad sci fi film..$10 million to make and is better than clover field in my opinon ... I brought this on dvd with a digital copy included (would recomend the blu ray) and can honestly say its not a bad piece of sci-fi..
Conclusion: I did enjoy this film. The plot was a little thin and acting was a bit drab and predictable in places. I think David Zayas (Angel from Dexter) had been on the espresso's from his almost schizophrenic performance. The effects were very good with some great monster designs and shots.
