This movie is terrible but that's why it is hilarious!
26 August 2012
Summary: The rating I gave the movie is because it's technically really bad, but that's the reason it's so funny. The acting, the editing, and the special effects are all terrible, but watching all of the mistakes is the fun part. The continuity errors are hilarious, and you are laughing through the entire movie because of all the mistakes. The story isn't actually that bad, so if the movie was made better, it could actually be pretty good.
Move over Cabin Boy..Sharktpus is the worst film ever now
4 November 2011
Summary: I used to think Cabin Boy was the worst movie ever made, but I was wrong. There are no words to describe the terrible acting, the lame effects, the lack of flow, etc. When the tongue-in-cheek jokes are predictable, you know it sucks. I attempted to watch it twice, but did not make it past two commercial breaks. I am sure even Charlie Sheen makes fun of Eric Roberts for this movie. I just hope the other "actors" careers recover from this.
Summary: I do admire this things that legendary B-movie producer has done for cinema. Too bad he's collaborating with the SyFy Channel. I don't normally watch SyFy giant bikini-girl eating monster movies, because they're just so awful. But, I've had a lot of request for you, the readers, to watch and review this movie that has become a sort of internet meme. Paraphrasing Paul Stanley of KISS here: All right Detroit, YOU WANTED THE BEST? Well you got Sharktopus. Deal with it. Dr.
Summary: Saw this with beers and expected to laugh at the whole thing, but this was below all. I'm not sure why they made it in the first part... The name of the movie is really the best part of it all. Period. The effects are extremely unrealistic and there's no feel at all, as soon as the sharktopus shows up it's so detached from the environment to the point it feels like watching a cartoon blended with live characters or vice versa - in other words... too damn noticeable!
Summary: I love campy sci-fi. I expected with Eric Roberts in it for the movie to be -- well, watchable if not even enjoyable. Sadly, it was not enjoyable. Nor was it funny. It wasn't campy. And it certainly wasn't fun to watch or even amusing. It was pitiful. The scenery is the only decent thing in it. The dialog is bad. The CGI is bad. The effects are bad. The acting when being attacked was a single action only -- scream and fail your arms around.
