Excerpt: I broke down and upgraded my DVD since it was on sale at BJ's for $12.99. I'm pretty glad I did. The movie had a solid storyline, however annoying it may be for those of us who have been fans of the show and are tiring of the Carrie/Big storyline. Nevertheless, the movie probably can't look any better than it does on blu-ray. The AQ is a nice transfer. The colors are pretty vivid and the picture seems sharp and crisp in the majority of the scenes.
Excerpt: Sex and the City the movie is a great adaptation of the original TV Show, the same cast is back and the movie has hilarious moments. The PQ is good, with great detail but it's not reference and the AQ is great as well SATC is great on Blu!
Summary: Let me preface this by saying that I am a straight female who has been a fan of the SATC series since its second season. I have every episode on DVD and have honestly seen every episode at least 5 times, including the commentaries by Michael Patrick King. That said, I could not be more disappointed in the film.
Excerpt: i have never ben into these types of movies, but im glad we have FAMILY movie nights lol. I thought this was going to be boring, but surprisingly i found it very funny and charming! I think lots of guys judge this before they see it, but hey, i actually enjoy nice chick flicks and it's really not that bad of a movie. im not sure why one review said it was too grainy???
Sex and the City Deviated Way too Much for My Liking

Summary: I first caught SATC in the late nineties, and thought it was great. At the time the show really captured a certain nineties sensibility - it was cynical, tongue-in-cheek, adult. Though not your average SATC fan - heterosexual, thirty-something male working in IT - I became obsessed, and was sure to see each new episode the first time it aired. However, over time I became disillusioned with the series. First, I eventually read the book.
Does bring in real substance to support the run time but then also fails to capture the witty spirit of the series

Summary: Since any opinion on this movie has to be tempered by sex and viewing history let me just make it clear up front that I am a man and, while I don't dislike the series, I didn't ever get into it beyond watching (and enjoying) the odd episode that someone else was watching in the same room as I was sitting. Please feel free to dismiss/accept my opinions accordingly in light of this information.
Excerpt: I have to admit that I wasn't a really big fan of the Sex and the City TV show, save for the simple fact that it had three actresses that I've come to know and love since the 1980's. The three are Sarah Jessica Parker (when she was on the short-lived 1983 series, "Square Pegs"), Kim Cattrall (when she was in 1981's "Porky's" and 1987's "Mannequin"), and Cynthia Nixon (when she was in the 1986 film, "The Manhattan Project" with John Lithgow).
