Excerpt: The film is an entertaining, somewhat typical, Hollywood romantic comedy. The visual representation on Blu ray however, is quite disappointing. There is no discernible difference between the DVD (which I own) and the video presentation of the Blu ray, apart from an increased colour palette. The increased colour palette actually reduces the warmness of the DVD presentation making it less enjoyable to watch.
Excerpt: Film came out in 2001. The HD transfer seems to be have been made not much later as well, on outdated equipment by today's standards. It's very fuzzy. There is no 1080p detail here, neither real world nor grain detail. Opticals have about DVD detail and the rest struggles reaching the 720p level. In addition there is a video look from electronic sharpening. Very mediocre offering compared to what it could look like. Sound is ok.
Excerpt: Only in the movies can such a story be 'realistic' to believe terms of a singular meeting with the opposite sex, you hit it off, but them play a chance at fate to see if it was meant to be. Perhaps the only real believable aspect of this story is once you meet that special someone and they are gone from your life, you can't help but to think about them wondering what if. Serendipity answers those questions and place with those fateful aspects are soul mates real.
