Excerpt: Blind buy..I like Steve, and Kiera is pretty hot...The movie is pretty good. I enjoyed it..classify it as a romcom..even though the comedy falls a little short...Shouldn't even be labeled comedy..
Excerpt: This movie is both a touching unconventional love story and a road trip where the lead actors meet interesting characters. The world around them feels authentic given the circumstances. Very solid acting. PQ: Near perfect. Colors look accurate, detail is often amazing and the whole thing has a nice texture. AQ: Pretty good.
Conclusion: If you fancy something a bit different than you could do far worse than this romantic comedy/drama/apocolypse movie. Carrell and Knightley are brilliant together as the final days of the planet before it is destroyed by a meteor and realise that it's the smaller things in life that really matter and in the closing days what really matters. It treads a fine line betwen comedy and drama and maybe cannot figure out what it wants to be.
Conclusion: a 70 mile wide astroid is hurtling toward earth, attempts to alter it's course have failed...........just a few weeks remain. 'dodge' and 'penny' who had only known each other a short time escape a riot. the two set out on a road trip to fulfil; a need to be with someone important to them as time runs out. the mission for 'dodge' to meet up again with the love he'd lost when still a young man.
