Summary: In the 14th century a group of knights transports a suspected witch to a monastery where they determine her to be the source of the Black Plague. this is one of those Nicolas Cage movies that are dark and funny at the same time and that is what this movie is.
Summary: This isn't the Nicolas Cage laugh-fest you would expect it would be. It is competently made and the period setting and special effects are actually above average. The film's main problem is that it is, at heart, lifeless. The characters go through a series of adventures on their quest, but there's really no connection to the characters, which results in a series of flat action sequences.
Summary: This movie was pretty boring in my opinion. The only exciting parts were the very beginning when the hung witch comes back to life and kills the priest. The other exciting part was when the "Witch" turns around and tries to kill the people transporting it and is pretty successful but there are always the survivors who end up killing the bad guy. This "witch" also kills hundreds maybe thousands of other people by spreading and ugly magically started plague.
Summary: This film had so much potential, it could be great film. But makers didnt really care. can you just imagine what can you do with fantasy horror set in middle ages with big budget. Just idea of that is great. And this film does achieves some good moments, but some other moments are just pathetic. If you are able to laugh to fake moments, you will be able to enjoy in fantasy and adventure elements of this ok film.
Summary: Usually I HATE movies that involve demons, witchcraft, etc, etc. Season Of The Witch wasnt great but it was OK.It's good enough to pass the time away if you have nothing else to do or nothings on & it'll save you from boredom.Basically........
Summary: Somehow Nicolas Cage continues to find work in Hollywood - this time as a knight (well ex-knight) charged with taking a supposed witch to some monks to get cleansed. This is not a good film, but it doesn't entirely fail either. The end is just ludicrous, have fun with this and don't think on it too much.
Summary: Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman carry this movie well. I like the historical and religious settings. It is Europe in the Dark Ages, the Crusades, the Plague, the Catholic Church versus perceived threats from the dark side. Some nice scenery, especially of the mountains. There is a lot of action, a fair amount of supernatural intrigue, a plot that is simple enough to follow but it has some surprising twists, especially near the end.
Summary: "If you don't have anything nice to say ..." Is this an adequate review? An embarrassingly bad, schlocky swords and sorcery movie starring Nicolas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas, National Treasure, Adaptation) as a heroic crusader tasked with transporting a witch to a remote monastery in central Europe during the time of the Black Death.
Summary: This a movie set in the medieval times, the lands are infested with witches and they are bad. Nick Cages character has to take an accused witch to monastery for a trial. Good action and graphics, its a good movie to watch you will enjoy it.
Summary: I completely enjoyed this movie. It was one of the few scary movies I have seen that was not so heavy handed that it turned into a comedy. Yes it was dark. It is during medival times with its ugly crusades and deathly plagues. Yet the filming is also beautiful. It is a horror movie with class. I do not want to give spoilers so I won't tell what the actual horror is or who survives. I would fit it in between Chronicles of Riddick and Robin Hood with a tad more fantasy.
