Excerpt: Tobin Frost: "I'm already in your head". Safe House is about a house under the protection of the CIA becomes a target and it is up to the facility's house sitter to extract the criminal in hiding and take him to a secure location. Let me start off with the goods: Denzel Washington in this movie nails it as the smart guy who will mess with you mind no matter what.
Summary: Very intriguing plot and extremely well acted. Not your average spy show or drama. Twists and turns to keep you guessing. Recommend to all who enjoy unpredictable endings and Sir Patrick Stewart's acting.
Summary: The film provides the great acting of Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds' poor talent. Although in some ways the film is entertaining, in other respects doesn' t exceed expectations. Safe House is an inconclusive film.
Excerpt: This movie looked rather interesting when I saw the trailer along with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. It had intense, shaky cam style, action, melodrama, tense atmosphere, cool rap music and attractive cast of veteran actors including Denzel Washington, Brendon Gleeson, Sam Sheppard, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Patricks and “up and coming” actress Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air, Source Code).
Summary: This was one of my favorites but not quite at the top of the list, action, plot, scenario, and a bit dense but overall well entertaining and a good movie to see once, haha, maybe if you have a drink twice. or at home orojasogher08reajgo. But this hit the spot when I saw it, it had Cape Town Africa so it was in a good spot for a new and refreshing situation. Denzel was good and Reynolds was epic too, he's really coming along as an actor.
Excerpt: Considering the two headliners and some of the supporting cast, one would expect Safe House to be close to Oscar worthy but as the story unfolds within the first 5 mins, you realize the outcome before that character gets introduced. Once you reach that point, which feels like slow motion then the story raised the anti slightly and it's a guns ablazing until the end.
Excerpt: One of the best films of 2012 so far in my own honest opinion! This is my kind of film you know the one with a kickass trailer and then the movie is twice as good? Safe House is one of those films. Action packed right from the initial get go as Ryan Reynolds is working for the CIA as watch person (housekeeper in the film) for a safe house.
Summary: The spy vs. spy plot is somewhat predictable (you can kind of anticipate most of twists from a mile away,) but the film's brutal action sequences are kinetic and the acting pairing of Reynolds and Washington holds a unique power that makes the movie better than its source material.
